Get to know what it’s like to work with us.
Every project is unique, but here’s how things generally happen.

To get in touch with us, fill out our online contact form with a few details about your project, vision and budget.

Let’s get to know each other! During this call, you’ll tell us all about you, your house, goals, budget, timeline and where you’re at in the process. We’ll ask a bunch of questions to make sure we’re crystal clear on your vision and needs.

We’ll be spending a lot of time together, so it’s really important that we connect. If we’re a good fit, we’ll set up a time to come over to scope out your space in person so we can better understand the lay of the land.

In order to officially kick your project off, we’ll send a Pre-Construction Agreement (i.e. initial contract). We’ll get you fully set up in Buildertrend, which is our dedicated project management and communication hub that we will all use throughout the work together.

Timeline: 3-6 months
During the design phase, we get to know your vision (and your home) inside and out.
Discovery
Tell us everything. Starting with a discovery meeting and a lot of questions, we aim to understand your goals and vision—everything from function to aesthetics. We also get to know your space, taking site measurements and taking inventory of all its potential.
Concept Presentation
We present initial concepts for review. These concepts include floor plans, mood boards and design specifics to discuss.
Design Presentation
Incorporating feedback from the concept round, we further develop the design into a single, cohesive direction.
Documentation
After making final refinements of the design, we create all the necessary construction documentation, drawings and spec books required for the project.
Construction Bid
We put together a detailed construction bid so you have a clear breakdown of the expected costs and timeline.
For construction-only projects, this phase is abbreviated and involves discovery, refinement and alignment. We thoroughly get to know the construction drawings and spec books. We collaborate with you and your designer or architect as one team in order to put together an accurate and detailed construction bid.

If you decide to move forward and schedule construction, we’ll sign a new contract outlining the agreed-upon scope, expected cost, expected timeline, payment terms and other specifics.

Timeline: 2-4 weeks
Before walls get knocked down, we’ll button up any remaining items in your design, submit permits, site prep, begin purchasing materials and scheduling tradespeople. We’ll host a construction kick-off meeting to help you prepare your home (and yourself) for the adventure to come. -
Timeline: 1.5 - 12 months
Here’s where it gets real—and real exciting. From demo to mechanicals to tile work and all the in-betweens, we’ll be right there making sure you and your space are well taken care of.
We’re the opposite of strangers throughout the whole process, relying on Buildertrend, quick calls, text, in-person check-ins and site meetings to get the job done right. Depending on your project, here are few possible milestones along the way:
Demo
Framing & mechanical rough-ins

Exterior

Walls & floors

cabinet shop drawings for approval
Finishing

We close out your project with a big toast and then leave you to enjoy your beautiful new space. (We still get goosebumps every time we do the final walkthrough with clients!) Just in case anything should come up as you settle back in, we offer an industry-leading warranty to guarantee our work.
